Star of the Show:
Dwayne 'Roli' Roloson!
Right before the trade deadline, Roloson was acquired by the Oilers and helped them clinch a spot in the playoffs, he was the unsung hero and likely played the best hockey of his career during the 2006 Stanley Cup Playoffs! Roli went 12-5 with a .927 save percentage and powered the underdog Oilers into the cup final against the Carolina Hurricanes. In Game 1, Roli sustained a sprained knee that dropped jaws across the nation! He was unable to play for the rest of the series, which the Oilers then lost in seven games. Since his retirement, Dwayne has been working with the Western Hockey League (WHL) Victoria Royals helping young goalies and players with skill development.
Roli played 14 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL), for a total of 606 games, including 46 (28-18) in the playoffs! Of those games, Roli played 193 regular-season games and 18 playoff games as an Edmonton Oiler.
